CNN anchor Jim Acosta will reportedly leave the left-leaning network after being pulled from its programming schedule.
According to the Status newsletter, Acosta’s decision to leave CNN was expected after his 10am (local time) was replaced.
The anti-Trump anchor’s show will reportedly be replaced by “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown” as part of a reshuffle.
According to Fox News, the Status reported Acosta was approached by CNN CEO Mark Thompson to move to a two-hour time slot at midnight.
The new line-up is considered to be far less distinguished, with a CNN insider telling Fox News Digital Acosta “struggled with the choice”.
