Are you wondering how to attach and detach your KitchenAid® Tilt-Head Stand Mixer’s bowls and beaters? Setting up and breaking down your Tilt-Head Stand Mixer can be easy when you follow these simple steps to attach and detach flat beaters, wire whips, dough hooks and bowls!
Attaching a Bowl to Your Tilt-Head Stand Mixer:
1. Turn off the stand mixer by sliding the control knob to the OFF setting.
2. Unplug the power cord or make sure the power supply to the stand mixer is off.
3. Raise the tilt-head to the upright position.
4. Fit the bottom of your stand mixer bowl onto the clamping plate of the stand mixer.
5. Gently turn the bowl in the clockwise position.
Detaching a Bowl from Your Tilt-Head Stand Mixer:
1. Shut off the stand mixer by turning the speed control knob to OFF.
2. Unplug the stand mixer’s power cord from its power supply.
3. Raise the tilt-head to the upright position.
4. Gently turn the bowl counterclockwise until you feel the bowl detach.
5. Lift the bowl off the stand mixer clamping plate.
Attaching a Flat Beater, Wire Whip or Dough Hook to Your Tilt-Head Stand Mixer:
1. Shut off the stand mixer by turning the speed control knob to OFF.
2. Unplug the stand mixer’s power cord from its power supply.
3. Raise the tilt-head to the upright position.
4. Slip the beater or other stand mixer attachment upward into the shaft and press upward as far as you can.
5. Turn the beater or other stand mixer attachment to the right to secure it on the beater pin.
Detaching a Flat Beater, Wire Whip or Dough Hook from Your Tilt-Head Stand Mixer:
1. Shut off the stand mixer by turning the speed control knob to OFF.
2. Unplug the stand mixer’s power cord from its power supply.
3. Raise the tilt-head to the upright position.
4. Press the beater upward as far as you can before turning left to slip it out from the securing pin within the shaft.
5. Gently pull the beater or other stand mixer attachment out from the beater shaft.
