줄거리 : 바보 동칠(김명곤)은 자살한 영화감독(이장호)이 남긴 옷가지와 시계를 꿰차고 서울 시내를 돌아다니다 예쁜 여대생 혜영(이보희)을 발견한다. 동칠은 자동차 정비공인 육덕(이희성)과 짜고 혜영을 납치한다. 그러나 알고 보니 혜영은 여대생이 아니라 매춘부였다. 육덕이 몰래 끌고 나온 택시를 도둑맞은 후, 육덕과 동칠은 배를 곯다 혜영이 사는 창녀촌에서 심부름을 해주며 끼니를 때운다. 그러나 이곳으로 새로 흘러들어온 시골 처녀를 탈출시키려다 들켜 쫓겨나고, 혜영도 이들을 따라 나선다. 바닷가 휴양지에서 세 사람은 한때 즐거운 시간을 보내지만, 곧 혜영과 헤어진다. 서울의 요정에서 웨이터로 일하던 동칠과 육덕은 손님과 함께 온 혜영과 마주친다. 이날 연회에서 혜영은 상류층 남자들의 노리개가 되어 농락당하다 결국 목숨을 잃는다. 동칠과 육덕은 그녀를 곱게 단장시켜 어깨에 메고 묻으러 간다.

SYNOPSIS : Dong-chul had been a pickpocket, beggar, pimp, etc. He is accustomed to the dark life of crime. One day, Dong-chul meets Yuk-deok while trying to kidnap the fake college student, Hye-young. Dong-chul and Yuk-deok find out that Hye-young is a prostitute. They do her errands and get fed, barely making it. Dong-chul and Yuk-deok get thrown out after fighting with a customer. Hye-young goes with Dong-chul and Yuk-deok and enjoy themselves at a beach resort. Dong-chul falls in love with Hye-young. Afterwards, Hye-young gets work at a high-class restaurant in Seoul. A customer forces her to drink too much liquor and Hye-young ends up dead. They dress her up real nice and bury her with the notes of a sad song ringing throughout the air.
