In today’s vlog we visit 3 very snowy and icy yards to shoe, trim and treat multiple horses in the Leeds area of West Yorkshire. Firstly we visit Cheif, who you might remember from a previous video being a little naughty! Cheif had a full set of shoes and shares a stable with 1 year old Batman who just needed a quick trim, and also a very well behaved Max for a front pair fitted by Luke!
We then headed over to see Pamper for a front set and also to check up on her seedy toe, which should now be fully treated. Luke looked after the cheeky thoroughbred Harry fitting a single shoe after he pulled one off out in the field , and a quick trim for Bonnie & JD. A rescue draft horse thanks to EPUK, JD suffered from a severe case of canker but has thankfully made a full recovery thanks to the SW team and local vet!
As mentioned in the video the snow was pretty bad with most local schools closed, and In between yards we noticed children sledging, so being big kids we couldn’t resist asking them for a go for a quick race! 😀
Lastly we visited Asbo who we’ve looked after for a long time receiving a full set of shoes, and also a quick trim for another Max, Asbo’s stable mate.
