It’s been on sale in the US for more than 18 months and now the fourth-generation Toyota Kluger is finally on its way Down Under.
Due to land here by mid-2021, the replacement for Australia’s top-selling car-based large SUV will again be available with a big petrol V6 and, for the first time here, petrol-electric hybrid power – in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations.
The big advances, thanks to an all-new platform, will be improved refinement, safety, technology and luxury – in the form of a bigger interior housing more upmarket materials – but they’re likely to come at a higher price.
