It’s nothing short of a rout. Ukraine’s two-pronged counteroffensive has expelled Russian troops from a large swathe of territory in the northeastern part of the country – at lightning speed. In under a week, the Ukrainian forces have regained more territory than Russia captured in over five months. Blindsided and on the defensive, Russia has responded by striking power plants, plunging much of the northeast into darkness. We’re asking: Ukraine’s battlefield gains: Putin under pressure?
