Several months ago, Students Helping Honduras broke ground on its 62nd school project in the community of Fuerzas Vivas up the Mico Quemado Mountains of El Progreso, Honduras. In this video, I go on an epic hike to show you our progress and what it’s like to live up in the mountains of Honduras. I share with you the struggles, hopes, and dreams of the families I meet, and a moving message from one grandfather who spent 19 years trying to make the school project come to life for his granddaughter.
A special thanks to Bless the Children (blessthechildreninc.org) for financing the school, the community members for organizing the project, and our construction team for staying up in the mountains for many weeks.
