Follow along and learn how to make these delicious Angry Birds cupcakes featuring Red, Chuck, and Bomb. Bonus – no need to crack a single precious egg! Bird Appétit!
🧁 ANGRY BIRDS Egg-free Vegan Cupcakes 🧁
2 cups brown sugar (14 ounces)
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups all purpose flour (10 ounces)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 cup vegetable oil (125ml)
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
2 cups boiling water (500ml)
Directions for the cake:
1. Preheat the oven to 325° F
2. Whisk dry ingredients together well.
3. Add the oil, the vinegar and the vanilla extract and immediately pour the boiling water and mix all the ingredients really well.
4. Pour the mixture in silicone or paper cupcake cups and bake for 18 min.
For the decorations:
black vegan fondant
white vegan fondant
vegan food dyes (red, green, yellow)
For the “buttercream” icing:
5 ounces vegan butter
5 ounces vegan shortening
23 ounces powdered sugar (sifted)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3-4 tbsp plant-based milk
1. Put both vegan butter and vegan shortening together and beat for about 7 min or until it looks smooth and creamy.
2. Add the powdered sugar and continue beating for a couple of min more.
3. Next add the vanilla and milk and beat really well.
4. Then add the green food dye to the butter and beat until you get a uniform color.
