Ruto has been declared the winner in Kenya’s presidential elections
The Head of Kenya’s electoral commission declared Deputy president William Ruto winner.
It was a narrow victory.
Four election commissioners cast doubt on the results while Raila Odinga’s agent also disputed them, alleging irregularities.
Odinga is a former prime minister and this was his fifth attempt at running for president.
He received the endorsement of his long-time rival president Uhuru Kenyatta.
But results show Ruto won in Mount Kenya, president Kenyatta’s stronghold.
But is the new president able to deal with Kenya’s many problems?
