Polestar Vehicle Development Chief Engineer Eddie Martin and his team tell of the importance of testing a new electric car in the wind tunnel, and how it influences the eventual exterior design of the vehicle. Wind tunnnel tests are carried out at multiple stages during the design process to test the car for aerodynamic issues such as air resistance, lift, and other factors. Throughout its development, Polestar Precept will go through four rounds of wind tunnel testing, each time with a new model redesigned and built on past results.
Polestar Precept concept will be brought to production as Polestar 5, set to be launched in 2024.
