These gross little maggots arenโt really maggots at all. Theyโre none other than the larvae of a fruit fly! Fruit flies love to lay their eggs in ripe fruit, and weโve been eating them for a very long time. But larvae arenโt the only things that have been found in strawberries either. By the way, scientists donโt believe thereโs any harm from eating bugs and thereโs a good reason why. There are bugs in everything we eat!
