In her first-ever press briefing following President Trump’s return to office, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized the previous Biden administration for spending $50 million of taxpayer dollars to fund condoms in Gaza.

Leavitt also condemned the Biden administration’s financial support for the World Health Organization (WHO). She stated that the Departments of Government Oversight (DOGE) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) had discovered that $37 million was set to be allocated to WHO funding. However, she noted that President Trump revoked this allocation “with the swipe of his pen,” as the United States no longer wishes to be part of the organization.
