This was such a flavourful rice and fish meal. I absolutely love using dried limes and luckily I had some leftovers from my episode of Oman!
ingredients:
Filling
2 medium onion caramelized
50ml water
50ml oil
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp black lime powder
1/2 tsp fish masala
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
2 tbsp butter
Salt as your taste
Small handful chopped dill
Small handful chopped coriander leaves
Ingredients for daqoos
1 bowl of fresh chopped tomatoes
100g tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1 tsp sugar
salt as your taste
4 cloves of garlic
2 green chili
Ingredients to marinate fish
Zubaidi fish (I used Seabass)
1/4 t sp of each – Cumin , coriander, cinnamon, tumeric , black pepper ,fish masala ,curry masala , black lime , ginger , garlic , cardamom , salt
Oil for frying
Ingredients for rice
1/2 cup oil or ghee
1/2 cup chopped onions
Whole spices: 4 Cardamom pods , 1 tsp black pepper , 1 cinnamon stick, 3 bay leaves , ¼ tsp cloves , 1 tsp cumin ,
1 t sp coriander powder
1/2 tsp dry black lime
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp fish masala
1/2 tsp curry masala
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 green chilli
1 cup chopped tomatoes
Salt as your taste
1/2 cup chopped dill
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
6 glass hot water
2 whole dry black lime
2 fried fish
4 cup washed and soaked basmati rice
2 tbsp butter
